Sinus Lift

Explore sinus lift at Apollon Clinic. Understand individual planning, treatment stages, suitability and the questions to discuss with your dentist.

02 · Parts

Three parts. One tooth.

Each implant is planned as three separate parts: the body that sits in the bone, the abutment that connects it, and the visible crown.

03 · Surface

A surface that bonds with the bone.

The roughened titanium surface makes it easier for bone cells to attach.

04 · Treatment

A new tooth, in two stages.

The implant is placed first. Once it has healed, the crown is fitted.

A sinus lift may create additional bone height where implants are planned towards the back of the upper jaw. It involves raising the sinus lining and placing graft material beneath it.

Planned around your needs

The remaining bone and sinus anatomy determine whether this procedure is appropriate. Tell your dentist about sinus symptoms, relevant medical conditions and previous surgery.

What treatment may involve

Implants may be placed at the same time in selected cases, or after a separate healing period. Your plan should explain which sequence is recommended and why.

What to understand before deciding

Risks include a tear in the sinus lining, infection, sinus problems and graft failure. The procedure may extend the time needed before final teeth can be fitted.

Will I need a sinus lift for every upper implant?

No. It is considered for specific sites with insufficient bone height. An individual assessment establishes the options.
