02 · Bonding
A chipped corner, restored with bonding.
Tooth-coloured composite is applied in layers to chipped or worn edges and hardened with light.
03 · Whitening
Whitening lightens the tooth’s own shade.
Professional whitening aims to lighten the shade by a few tones without changing the tooth structure. Results vary from person to person.
04 · Veneer
Veneers: a thin shell for the front surface.
A ceramic veneer is a thin shell bonded to the front of the tooth. It changes colour and shape together. Suitability is assessed at your examination. Images are illustrative.

Laminate veneers enhance your smile’s character.
Veneers cover the front surface of selected teeth. They may be used to address particular concerns about shape, colour or small imperfections where the teeth and gums are suitable.
Planned around your needs
Assessment should consider enamel, bite, gum health and the extent of the proposed change. Whitening, bonding or orthodontic treatment may offer alternatives in some cases.
What treatment may involve
Your dentist discusses material, shade and preparation needs, then checks the proposed fit and appearance before final placement. The number of veneers should follow your needs.
What to understand before deciding
Some veneers require enamel removal, which is irreversible. They can chip, detach or need replacement. Sensitivity and later decay are possible. “No preparation” veneers are not suitable for everyone.
Are veneers the same as crowns?
No. Veneers generally cover the front surface; crowns surround more of the tooth. They should not be presented as interchangeable procedures.
